The regulator asks about the model
Bank of America and Truist both keep their headquarters in Charlotte, and banks of that size answer to SR 26-2, the model risk guidance the Federal Reserve, the OCC and the FDIC issued in April 2026 to replace SR 11-7. It takes a risk-based approach tailored to each bank's model risk profile, and at a bank this size the automated credit and fraud decisions are the ones model risk looks at first.
Model risk should see an AI system in its first month, as its first real audience. A model that can't show what it was given, what it decided and which version decided it will draw a finding, and that record can't be added later to a system that never kept it. So we won't ship a decision path without it, even in a pilot.
Before any code, we write the documents your validators will ask for anyway. They set out what the model is for, where its inputs come from, its known limits and how its output will be monitored, written with your model risk team in the room. Then every decision logs its inputs, its version and its outcome, and validation starts with the evidence already there.

The iLending work automated lead and loan officer assignment, rate sheet processing and stipulation document management, and improved CRM integration and API performance. Manual errors dropped and agent onboarding got faster, which is what a bank's lending operations team wants from automation sitting on the path of a credit decision.

iLending
iLending's new loan application had stalled with another developer, running late, over budget and short of features, while call center agents kept turning refinance leads into loans by hand. TechFabric's engineers picked the project up, reviewed what had been built, and rebuilt the app day to day alongside iLending's own developers, automating lead and loan officer assignment, rate sheets and stipulation documents. Manual errors dropped and new agents got productive faster.

Charlotte's data calendar runs through UNC Charlotte
UNC Charlotte's School of Data Science sets much of the city's data calendar. Its Analytics Frontiers Conference fills the Hilton Charlotte Uptown each April, with tracks on applied and explainable AI, and the Women in Data Science conference it hosts comes about a month earlier. The Charlotte Databricks User Group meets now and then, and its March 2026 event was an invite-only dinner in Uptown for data, AI and finance leaders, co-hosted with Databricks.
The explainable AI track is the one a bank's data team should watch, because model risk asks the same of anything built on a lakehouse. Where did this feature come from, which version of the table trained the model, and who approved the change? Unity Catalog lineage answers the first two by default once the data's on Databricks. Plan the approval record beside it, and a move off Teradata stops looking like a future finding.

Do you work with Charlotte companies?
Yes, and with companies across the United States. Arizona does not observe daylight saving, so we are two hours behind you from November to March and three hours behind from March to November. That leaves most of your afternoon overlapping our morning, which is usually enough.
Do you have an office in Charlotte?
The office is in Gilbert, Arizona, with teams in Amsterdam, Dnipro and Hyderabad. Delivery is remote or hybrid, and we travel for discovery, workshops and the opening weeks of a build.
How do you handle model risk management?
An automated decision records what it was given, what it decided and under whose authority, because a bank's model risk team will ask for exactly that, whatever the regulators' guidance says is in scope. Explainability is designed in, since a system that did not record its reasoning cannot have it added later.
