Validation is part of the build
Boston's biotechs in Kendall Square and the Seaport keep FDA-bound records under 21 CFR Part 11, which requires secure, computer-generated, time-stamped audit trails, and a changed record can't obscure what was there before. Massachusetts adds 201 CMR 17.00, so a Financial District fund holding a resident's personal information must keep a written information security program.
Pipelines built first and validated later are where this goes wrong. A validator asks for evidence the system never recorded, and the retrofit turns into a rewrite with paperwork attached. We hold every pipeline to replay instead. Given the same inputs and the same code version it should produce the same table, and if it can't, nothing downstream of it belongs in a submission.
Your quality team sits in the room from the start, beside the data team, to agree which outputs are GxP-relevant and what evidence each one needs. That list becomes the test plan. Lineage goes into Unity Catalog from the first table, every pipeline run is tied to a commit, and the validation package grows with the code instead of being written at the end.

Athlinks
Athlinks had more than 400 million athlete records from sources that never agreed on who an athlete was, and a matching run that died halfway through couldn't just start again. Our engineers took the project from prototype to production as a serverless pipeline on AWS with Temporal holding the state. Failed steps now retry on their own, failures reach Slack as they happen, and the matching rules are tuned for each tier.

Data engineers between Kendall Square and State Street
Databricks has brought its DevConnect evening, three technical sessions and a reception, to the Financial District this autumn. Across the river, PyData Boston-Cambridge meets most months at Moderna in Kendall Square, which says something about who's in the room: about 3,500 members, many of them working with lab and trial data in Python. ODSC AI East brings three days of training to the Seaport in May 2027.
That Python crowd matters if you're moving a lab's notebooks onto Databricks. A notebook that produced a figure for a trial submission has to produce it again, from the same inputs, when a validator asks, and most migrations leave that as cleanup for later. Plan it in from the start, with Unity Catalog lineage on every table the notebook touched and pipelines that replay, and validation becomes a review of something already running.

Yes, and with companies across the United States. Arizona does not observe daylight saving, so we are two hours behind you from November to March and three hours behind from March to November. That leaves most of your afternoon overlapping our morning, which is usually enough.
Do you have an office in Boston?
The office is in Gilbert, Arizona, with teams in Amsterdam, Dnipro and Hyderabad. Delivery is remote or hybrid, and we travel for discovery, workshops and the opening weeks of a build.
Do you work under GxP or 21 CFR Part 11?
We build to the requirements those impose, which is a replayable pipeline, an immutable record of what changed, and access resolved at read time. Formal validation is your quality team's process and we support it with systems designed to be validated rather than systems that have to be explained afterwards.
