An eligibility error costs you twice
Nashville and Franklin hold more hospital management companies than anywhere else in the country, and their back offices run on eligibility, prior authorisation and claims. A wrong decision costs the reimbursement first. If it was paid, it can cost again, because an identified Medicare overpayment has to be returned within 60 days, and HIPAA governs every record the correction touches.
Most revenue cycle automation tries to take the person out of the decision, and that's the mistake. A model is good at assembling the case, pulling the payer's rule and the chart note that answers it. Deny, appeal or write off should stay with a named reviewer, and the system should keep what they saw when they decided, because that record is what survives an audit.

Two weeks reading a quarter of them by reason code shows which decisions a model can prepare safely and which need a person, and that list becomes the approval map the runtime enforces. Integration with your billing and scheduling systems follows, then the agent, then an eval that scores it against decisions your reviewers already made.
