Software development for Miami companies

A shipment held at customs for days shouldn't take your order system down with it, but the rebuild is waiting on engineers you haven't hired. Our senior engineers join your team, work in your codebase and rebuild the process as a durable workflow that survives the wait, then stay with it into production. Freight forwarders in Doral run Miami's biggest version, and a Coral Gables property closing has the same shape.

Founded

2017, and still independent

Bench

115+ engineers, 80 Databricks-certified

Experience

Fifteen years average, per engineer

Serving

Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Coral Gables, Doral

Trade and banking between the United States and Latin America, a real estate sector beside them, and a technology base that has grown quickly since 2020. If your business is any of those, your data crosses a border and the rules change when it does.

DatabricksTemporalAzure

TechFabric is a Databricks partner with an award-winning Databricks engineering team, 80 of them Databricks-certified, and a Temporal partner. Where a system reaches past the workspace we build on Azure, AWS and Google Cloud.

What software development covers

Web applications

Applications built to be changed safely years after the original team has moved on. That means tests that mean something, seams where the business logic can move, and a deployment nobody is afraid of.

Mobile applications

iOS and Android, built as products rather than as ports. The maintenance story is decided at the start, while it is still cheap.

APIs and integration

The seams between systems, done once and properly. Most of the expensive failures we are called into are integration failures wearing another name.

Data platforms

The layer underneath the application, on Databricks, Azure, AWS or Google Cloud. If the reporting and the application disagree, the platform is the reason.

Modernisation of what exists

Often the work arrives as something already built that has become hard to change. We would rather read it and tell you honestly whether it is worth keeping than sell a rewrite you may not need.

Durable, auditable workflows

Processes that take days, call several systems and must never half-complete. Getting that right is a different discipline from getting a request handler right, and it is where we spend most of our time.

App development in Miami

Trade and lending apps here work across borders, in two languages, on processes that take days. We build the app as one client of a durable workflow, so a step that waits on a customs document or a signature survives the wait.

Mobile app development

Dynamics 365 consultants in Miami

Importers, exporters and distributors in Doral and around Miami International Airport run multiple currencies, entities and tax regimes, which is the case Dynamics 365 Business Central is built for. We implement it and Dynamics 365 CRM across entities, connect them to banks and freight systems, and report the consolidated picture in Power BI.

Data does not cross borders freely

Miami's banks in Brickell and the freight forwarders around Doral serve clients across Latin America, and each country writes its own transfer rules. Brazil's LGPD allows data abroad only through approved mechanisms, such as the standard contractual clauses its regulator published in 2024, and Colombia keeps its own list of adequate countries. Florida's Information Protection Act then wants affected people told of a breach within 30 days.

The common shortcut is to copy everything into one US region with a policy document to cover it, which holds until a regulator or a client's counsel asks where a record has been. We think residency belongs in the data itself, a tenant and a jurisdiction on every row with grants that resolve at read time, because a rule kept in a config file is one somebody forgets.

We'd begin by listing each country you hold data for, what its law says about moving that data, and which tables carry it. That inventory decides the architecture. Some tables can sit in one US workspace with per-tenant grants in Unity Catalog, while others have to stay in-country and be queried in place through Lakehouse Federation, which is slower and sometimes the only lawful option.

Clients we have done this for

A trade, shipping or lending business that passes documents between several parties eventually has to show who sent what to whom. SmartCert's system was built for that, replacing email attachments with a traceable exchange of certificates and quality documents between manufacturers, distributors and their customers.

Supply chain

SmartCertSmartCert

Aerospace distributors were scrapping good parts because the certificates proving what they were got lost in email attachments. With Aramid, our senior engineers built SmartCert on Azure and took it into production. A QR code on each package opens the documents for that exact shipment, and links to Epicor Prophet 21 and Dynamics 365 Business Central mean nobody retypes a certificate. Since launch, none have been lost.

How an engagement runs

  1. 01

    A technical conversation

Not a sales call. An engineer, asking what you are trying to do, what has been tried and what it will actually take. Where the work needs them, product and design people join the same conversation.

  2. 02

    Two weeks, fixed fee

A short assessment ending in a written plan with a scope, a sequence and a number. You own the document whether or not you carry on with us.

  3. 03

Build with your team in the repo

Senior throughout, and no pyramid with one architect over a floor of juniors. The person in your standup is the person writing the code.

  4. 04

    Run it

We stay on the pager. Nobody designs a fragile thing they will personally be woken by, which is most of why this arrangement produces different software.

Two weeks, fixed fee, and a written plan whether or not you build it with us.

Tell an engineer what you want to build

A senior engineer reads it and replies within one business day, usually with the questions that decide the first two weeks.

A sentence or two is plenty, such as what it should do and what stands in the way today.

Goes straight to a senior engineer. By sending this you agree we can contact you about your enquiry, and occasionally about our work. Tell us to stop at any time and we will.

Around Miami

South Florida's JVM developers and DevFest

The Miami JVM Group meets most months on a weekday evening and moves around South Florida, from The LAB Miami in Wynwood to Davie and Fort Lauderdale, and many of its 2026 talks were about building applications with AI. GDG Miami, about 1,150 members, runs workshops through the year ahead of its DevFest on 5 December. eMerge Americas brings its conference and expo back in March 2027, with a space for startups.

A business shipping through PortMiami runs processes that wait. A customs hold, a correspondent bank's confirmation or a signature from Bogota can take a week, and software expecting the next step in seconds leaves half-finished orders and someone reconciling them by hand. The design question is how a workflow holds its state through that wait and what happens when the answer arrives twice. Durable workflows are our answer to both.

    Miami JVM Group (MJUG)

Many of this year's evening talks covered building applications with AI on the JVM, relevant if your banking or logistics systems are Java.

FAQ

Software development in Miami: common questions

Do you work with Miami companies?

Yes, and with companies across the United States. Arizona does not observe daylight saving, so we are two hours behind you from November to March and three hours behind from March to November. That leaves most of your afternoon overlapping our morning, which is usually enough.

Do you have an office in Miami?

The office is in Gilbert, Arizona, with teams in Amsterdam, Dnipro and Hyderabad. Delivery is remote or hybrid, and we travel for discovery, workshops and the opening weeks of a build.

Can the platform handle data residency across countries?

Yes, and it is a grant question rather than a deployment question. Access resolves per tenant and per actor at the point of the read, so a rule that differs by jurisdiction is data the platform enforces rather than configuration somebody has to remember to update.

What kinds of custom software do you build?

Web applications, mobile applications, APIs and the data platforms underneath them. The work we do best is the sort that has to be governed and auditable, where a wrong write is expensive and somebody has to be able to explain afterwards what changed and why.

Do you take over an existing codebase?

Often, yes. A good part of the work arrives as something already built that has become hard to change. We would rather read it and tell you honestly whether it is worth keeping than sell you a rewrite you may not need.
