Warehouses along I-10, orders from California

Distribution has grown on the west side of the Valley along I-10, in Goodyear and Tolleson, where a truck leaving at dawn reaches the Los Angeles basin the same day. A company opening a building there often runs it beside an older site for a while, with stock, orders and carriers split across two systems that were never meant to agree.

That overlap is where software breaks. An order promised from Goodyear ships from the old building, a carrier label prints twice, and month-end inventory disagrees by a truckload. We'd put one system of record in charge of every unit before the move and have the old site write through it, so the day the old building closes is a configuration change rather than a migration.

For a West Valley build we'd start with two weeks reading where stock, orders and labels live today, in the ERP, the warehouse system and the spreadsheets between them. The plan that comes out names which site owns each unit on each day of the move. In Mesa, Cyclic Materials brought us in for on-site Business Central and Insight Works support at its facility.
