The project was multi-faceted with a significant level of complexity; the scope of work, once identified included almost fifty different projects that included not only developing a platform for selling ancillary products for various credit unions and dealerships customers but also APIs for integration with third party providers, payment processors and tax systems.
This required special attention to data security and compliance protocols. Additionally, APIs (interfaces) had to be developed to connect the MPS platform and various loan origination systems to automatically pull the required information to provide vehicle ratings and quotes. As a result, the project required a sophisticated microservices architecture built on Microsoft Azure’s cloud-native technologies with emphasis on security and compliance.

Launched in 2017, the Member Protection System is a multi-product platform used by financial institutions and auto dealerships for quoting and selling a wide range of vehicle ancillary products and services directly to consumers. The application aggregates data from many different providers and displays results to offer choices to customers for ancillary services to their auto loan.
Much like an online marketplace, the MPS system developed by TechFabric makes it easy to get quotes from multiple providers. The application helps agents walk through the application process with the customers and helps them purchase the plan most suitable for their needs using a simple, intuitive and easy-to-use interface developed using the latest technologies on the web development stack such as Angular JS, HTML5, CSS3, TypeScript, .NET Core, C#, SQL Server, Azure Service Fabric, Logic Apps, Functions etc. The MPS platform also provides the management team with a sleek dashboard to monitor KPIs for all of their clients from one convenient place.

CU Direct Member Protection Services reports that TechFabric increased the time to market for the new solution by 60% exceeding expectations by delivering not only on time, but on budget.
The application was developed using a responsive design allowing the system to run on variety of devices resulting in an easy to use system and a seamless experience for loan consultants and call center agents to sell vehicle ancillary products to their customers. The MPS system’s simplicity and user friendlyness has increased productivity allowing agents to serve significantly more customers each day.
